As the temperature rises athletes and active people need to pay extra attention to their fluids. And sometimes when it is hot and humid, appetite may not be great resulting in suboptimal fuel in the glass, bowl or plate. If you don’t feel like cooking or grilling but know you still need to get your protein and produce- why not a 2 for 2 with flavor to savor? This easy gazpacho delivers on protein, produce and taste and with a blender, you can make it in haste and incorporates Klean Hydration to help replace carbs and electrolytes as well as Klean Isolate for the protein. PLUS- 2 servings of veggies. So why not go savory instead of sweet for a post workout recovery treat?‡

Now more than ever, our physical and mental health and well-being are critically important! We encourage you to incorporate nutritious recipes utilizing basic ingredients easily found in your fridge and pantry. A comforting, hearty bowl of soup can be a great option. Soup is aromatic, delicious and easy — leaving you more time to train, walk the dog or chase the kids around the yard, rather than be stuck in the kitchen.
Spartan® World Championships: Race Recap by Sponsored OCR Athlete, Michelle Kasold
I went into the Spartan® World Championships without too many expectations. It was my first time in Tahoe at Squaw Valley and I knew there were going to be a lot of unbelievable athletes toeing the line. I did as much as I could to prepare and I just wanted to go out, do my best, and see where that landed me in the world. All the prepping could not have prepared me for what Mother Nature decided to throw at us; nonetheless, I controlled what I could and just went in with a never give up mindset, which carried me over that finish line.

From Farm Roads to Wood Planks – Get to know Sponsored Cyclist Ashton Lambie
My name is Ashton Lambie, and I’m excited to be a part of the Klean Athlete family. I was born and raised in Nebraska, where I’ve been riding bikes since I was 15 years old. Altitude Training Tips and Adaptation by Sponsored Triathlete Kevin Portmann
I was born and raised in the French Alps, so initially when I scheduled two training camps in Salt Lake City this summer, I thought I would be “used to” the altitude, having spent much of my life above sea level. However, I did not factor in (or simply chose to ignore) the last 10 years spent at sea level in New York and Oceanside! I could not have been more wrong. Little did I know, I was in for a treat!

My Favorite Obstacle Course Race Workout by Sponsored OCR Athlete, Michelle Kasold
I love any workout that can emulate what I face in an Obstacle Course Race. For those of you that don’t know much about OCRs, they are usually trail-running courses with a lot of different obstacles. For example, a Spartan Sprint course is around 4-5 miles and includes about 20 obstacles (from barbed wire crawls to climbing over walls and carrying heavy buckets, just to name a few) randomly dispersed throughout. It is a full-body physical and mental challenge! It really tests your endurance, core, upper body strength, and mental toughness.

Chasing Dreams! Athlete Diary by Sponsored Track Athlete Maïté Bouchard
Hello everyone! My name is Maïté Bouchard (the challenge here is to be able to pronounce it correctly, as it is French!), a professional 800 m runner for Team Canada, en route to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
I’m a French Canadian who grew up in Sherbrooke, Québec, a small city in the beautiful Eastern Townships, where I still live and train year-round. Compared to most athletes, I started track pretty late in the game. At the end of high school I started out as a decent runner, but like most, was far from being considered elite. Since then, I’ve seen a pretty good progression, with consistent hard work & perseverance paying off after nearly eight years.
