If you just killed it at the gym, on the track or on the roads, this pudding is for you. Consumed within 30 minutes post-workout, Klean Recovery™ Pudding will offer your body the optimal 4:1 ratio of carbs to protein that will allow for repletion of glycogen stores and promotion of muscle protein synthesis. And let’s not forget the awesome micronutrient profile offered by this yummy treat: A small half cup serving will infuse your body with calcium and vitamin D to nourish your bones and muscles, and an array of B vitamins to support energy metabolism. INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups skim milk
  • 1 scoop (½ cup) Klean Recovery™
  • 1 small box (1.4 ounce) sugar free instant pudding, any flavor

DIRECTIONS

  1. Thoroughly blend the skim milk and protein powder until the protein powder is fully integrated into the milk.
  2. Add the dry pudding pouch to the milk-protein mixture. Stir until the concoction is completely blended.
  3. Pour the pudding mixture into 4 small bowls (~3/4 cup) and place in the refrigerator for 15+ minutes.
  4. Eat and enjoy!!

Storage Instructions: If you can resist eating up these yummy pudding cups, refrigerate and cover with plastic wrap to prevent drying.

Bio
Karlyn Grimes, MS RD LDN CSSD, is the founder of Simply Simple Health (SSH) and author of The Everything Anti-Inflammation Diet Book. SSH creates and administers nutrition, fitness and health education programs for athletes, educators, coaches and sports teams at schools and colleges throughout the Boston area. Its programming includes individual and group sports nutrition counseling, as well as sport-specific personal training. SSH also contributes to numerous academic textbooks and magazines.

Karlyn has a dual Master’s degree in nutrition and exercise physiology from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Colgate University, with a minor in economics. She is a registered dietitian (RD) with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, a certified specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) and a licensed dietitian nutritionist (LDN) in the state of Massachusetts. She is currently a faculty member in the Nutrition and Biology Departments at Simmons College in Boston, where she teaches sports nutrition, medical nutrition therapy, exercise physiology, anatomy and physiology, general biology, and numerous other courses.
