Klean Isolate: A “Whey” Better Protein
Klean offers one of the purest proteins out there: WHEY ISOLATE. It’s clean and “fast-acting” so your body gets an immediate surge of all the essential amino acids required for superior muscle growth and repair, and stabilization of blood sugar levels. Klean Isolate also provides those ingredients required for creation of a fleet of enzymes, hormones, antibodies and other substances that will support your sport. And even though whey protein isolate is derived from milk, after the extraction process the remaining protein is virtually free of fat and carbohydrate (including lactose), and has no added artificial flavorings or sweeteners. Perfect for athletes always on the go in work and play, those who want to boost their protein intake without calorie overload, or for individuals who’s stomachs do somersaults in the presence of dairy. What’s more, Klean Isolate’s flavorless make-up is perfect for adding “pure” protein to smoothies and your favorite foods.
The Ideal “Whey” to Use Klean Isolate
Timing can be very important when using Klean Isolate. Here are some guidelines:
• Before Exercise: Consume ½-1 scoop Klean Isolate 30-45 minutes prior to intense or prolonged workouts. This will provide a well-rounded source of amino acids to reduce bodily protein breakdown during exercise and will provide a “pool” of amino acids to repair and grow muscle tissue after exercise when protein synthesis kicks into overdrive.
• During Exercise: Prepare a drink with Klean Isolate prior to workouts that last more than 90 minutes. The longer an exercise session, the more protein your body breaks down. Adding protein back during long training sessions will minimize muscle catabolism (breakdown) and favor anabolism (building).
• After Exercise: Protein synthesis is what it’s all about after a strenuous workout or competition. This is where growth and progress are made. After all your hard work, muscle loss is not an option. Carbs and protein are both essential at this time, and ideally the ratio is 3-4 grams of carbs to 1 gram of protein. Make one of our smoothies below with ½-1 scoop of protein and you will satisfy this performance-enhancing commandment. You can also choose to invest in our milk chocolate flavored Klean Recovery powder. Either way you are on the road to recovery.
• To Fill Your Nutritional Gaps: The world is running round and round 24 & 7 without adequate time to dine. Add Klean Isolate to your favorite foods (see some ideas below) or make a smoothie so your energy levels, muscles and immune system stay in tip top shape
“Pure”fect Uses For Klean Isolate
Serious Smoothies
Smoothies are a great way to get the 40 nutrients and 5-9 servings of fruits and veggies you require every day. Properly concocted smoothies infuse your body with the amino acids, vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals necessary for, speeding recovery and preventing injuries. Smoothies are also a terrific source of those fluids that your body will crave after a long workout. But buyer beware, premade smoothies can pack in over 600 calories with a lot of those calories coming from added sugar and fat while being wimpy on the protein required to keep your systems primed and recovering from vigorous workouts. The solution? Grab a scoop or two of Klean Isolate and make your own smoothie at home or in the office. This puts you in the drivers seat! Here are a few tips for getting the most bang for your buck:
– The Blender: Forget the juicer! Use an electric blender, food processor or blender bottle with a wire whisk ball to mix up your smoothie so all the ingredients start and end together without loss of any wonderful nutrients found in the skin and seeds of plants. Additionally, the blending process initiates the breakdown of ingredients so digestion and absorption of vital nutrients is optimized.
– Give Praise to Protein: Since liquids, especially those high in carbohydrates such as 100% fruit juice, are digested more quickly than solid foods, you will be hungry quicker when you drink a smoothie than you would be if you ate a well-balanced, solid meal containing a mixture of carbohydrate, protein and fat. To give your smoothie more staying power, don’t forget a scoop of Klean Isolate, especially if you plan to use your smoothie as a meal replacement or a post workout re-energizer.
– Fantastic Fruit: Make sure when shopping for ingredients you choose frozen fruit without added sugar. You can also cut up fresh, seasonal fruit and store it in a freezer friendly storage bag. This will ensure that you have plenty of delicious, nutritious fruit on hand when you want to whip up a kicking smoothie.
– Choose Fueling Fluids: Smoothies are a great source of fluids seeing that fruit, fruit juices, and cow or non-dairy milks are 80-88% water. To keep fat and calories under raps while still acquiring a blast of essential vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals, choose low fat milk, yogurt or frozen yogurt instead of whole milk or ice cream, and 100% fruit juice over juice drinks or blends. Juice drinks generally contain only 10-50% juice and spoonfuls of calorie-rich sugar that can bring your blood sugars on a roller coaster ride.
– Flavor Up Your Smoothie: Add your favorite spices and flavorings to make your smoothie extra tasty without unnecessary calories and fat.
Think Outside The Smoothie
Klean Isolate is not just for smoothies any more. You can infuse your daily cereal, yogurt, scrambled eggs, hummus or other favorite foods with a scoop of Klean Isolate to support your muscles, hormones (think “growth” hormone) and antibodies (our immune-boosting friends), and the enzymes and mitochondria (powerhouses in each cell) that help power your workouts. Here are some other great ways to give foods a protein boost:
• Awesome Oats: Add 1 tbsp of peanut butter and 1 scoop of Klean Isolate to your morning bowl of oatmeal.
• Pumped-Up Potatoes: Add Klean Isolate to mashed potatoes. Just increase the milk until the potatoes reach the desired consistency.
• Powerful Pudding: Supplement your favorite pudding mix with a scoop of protein powder. Experiment with the amount of added liquid that results in the best consistency.
• Whey Better Baked Goods: Add a scoop or two (1/3 – 2/3 cup) of Klean Isolate to forgiving batters such as boxed pancake, muffin and cake mixes. When baking, decrease the cooking time or temperature since whey increases the browning process. Also, increase the liquid content (milk, oil, applesauce, mashed ripe bananas, pumpkin puree, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese or cooked sweet potato) of the recipe to ensure the final product remains moist. Finally, the use of eggs or egg whites will properly bind the ingredients so you end up with a delicious, protein-infused end product.
• Fit French Toast: Mix 1 scoop Klean Isolate, ½ cup egg whites, ¼ cup low fat milk and a pinch of cinnamon together in a pie plate. Dip 2 slices of 100% whole grain bread into the mixture. Then cook in a non-stick skillet for 2-3 minutes on each side.
